The best times to practice meditation is first thing in the morning before you sip your cup of coffee (but after you've gotten up and washed your face) and in the evening before dinner.
Give your self some time and sit in silence, closing your eyes. Help yourself to find a comfortable spot to sit at (preferably a spot that has back support), and tuck yourself in a warm, cozy blanket. A good way to freshen yourself and reduce stress is to take a shower (1).
Be very careful about the temperature. If the water is blazingly hot it can actually worsen and damage your hair health, as well as your skin. A good strategy people use (along with myself) is to turn down the temperature two minutes before the end of my shower. This short burst of coldness will close your pores and hair follicles, which is a commonly known trick to wake you up instantly.

It's a good habit to look around when you're walking to a destination. Put your phone away and consciously allow your eyes to wander about. Notice all the details, appreciate and quickly notice the architectural achievements. Its a good way to live a happier life when you're actually paying attention to the things you might normally ignore in those moments and appreciate what's around you. Before you go inside anywhere, pause one last time and look up. This last simple second can make a difference!
